It’s in the Bag for Pedal Power thanks to Tesco

Pedal Power have received capital funds to expand their safe accessible cycle path at Alyn Waters Country Park, Wrexham.  This means that people with all abilities will be able to cycle for longer and can get even more enjoyment, therapy and fun from cycling at Pedal Power.

On Wednesday 11th January Ali Roberts from Tesco store Wrexham and Vicki Bolton from Tesco Cefn Mawr, Wrexham came to Pedal Power and presented Helen Wright, Chair of the Trustees of Cycling 4 All the charity that supports Pedal Power with a cheque for £12,000.

Pedal Power offers an accessible all ability cycling service based at Alyn Waters Country Park Wrexham. The service has a safe cycle path and a range of accessible bikes, such as side by side trikes and wheelchair bikes meaning that people with disabilities and health conditions can enjoy the fun and freedom of cycling.

Helen said, “Thank you very much to Tesco customers for supporting and voting for Pedal Power. The funding has enabled us to expand our user friendly cycling track at Alyn Waters making it safer, longer and more accessible for our customers, many with disabilities and long term health conditions.”

“Pedal Power is reliant on fundraising to ensure this unique service stays open to offer cycling and exercise opportunities to people who would struggle to access other forms of activity. Thank you to Tesco for making a real difference to the service.”
